About Us

The  Mid Canterbury District Bible group used to meet for their annual camp at  different halls around the Ashburton District.  All their camping gear had  to be stored where ever they could find space, whilst it was not being used.

It was  decided to purchase an area of land for a permanent campsite.  In March  1959 12ha of land was purchased at Staveley.  Construction of the current  buildings started in 1971.

The 12  ha is made up of 4ha of cleared land and 8ha of native bush.
